Helicopter Private Pilot’s Licence PPL(H)

At its flying school, Heli and Co trains pilots for the Helicopter Private Pilot’s Licence, in line with European standards.
The training is JAR FCL approved and given on Robinson 22 helicopters with a rigorous programme and support.

Heli and Co offers individual instruction tailored to the rhythm you decide.
An initial interview with our instructor enables us both to set our goals and draw up an individual timetable.

The helicopter private pilot’s licence is obtained after passing two exams – one theoretical, one practical – and flying training.
The minimum legal requirement to obtain this licence is 45 flying hours, including 10 as flight commander.
However, on the basis of our experience we recommend to budget for at least 50 flying hours, which we regard as a more realistic goal.
If you already have a private pilot’s licence for an aircraft, you are awarded a credit of 10% of your flying hours as aircraft flight commander, with a maximum of six hours.

Once you have your private pilot’s licence you can exercise the functions of flight commander on board any helicopter you are qualified to fly. You will be authorized to fly alone or with non-paying passengers.
For any additional qualification on another helicopter you will have to follow the appropriate training
